Every February, our nation dons a shade of red in recognition of American Heart Month. We dedicate this time to raising awareness about heart disease and promoting cardiovascular health. Why such urgency? Because heart disease remains the #1 cause of death in the United States, claiming approximately 695,000 lives each year. It’s not just a senior citizen’s concern.
