Young Child Dies of Undiagnosed Illness
The parents of a 9 year old boy took their child to a local health care provider three separate times over a few day period with complaints of an extremely high fever and vomiting. Each time, the health care provider told the parents there was nothing to worry about and sent the child home.
This was despite the fact that on the second visit, the health care provider had test results showing that something was seriously wrong. Sadly, the child was never admitted to the hospital.
The final time that the parents brought their only son back to the health care provider, it was too late, and he passed away.

Young Woman Falls In Big Box Store
A slip and fall is a devastating and extremely embarrassing moment for anyone to experience. It’s not always the fault of the victim when there’s a fall – but rather, it may be the fault of the store if they do not properly and adequately keep their floors and premises safe and clear of danger.
A fall can happen to anyone at any age, as a young woman named “Kelly” learned the hard way. She was walking through the aisle of an unnamed “Big Box” store, shopping and minding her own business, when she slipped and fell on an unknown liquid substance pooled in the middle of the aisle.

Ng, Sandi v. Walmart Verdict
Sandi Ng was shopping with her daughter at Walmart when she unexpectedly encountered a puddle of water in an aisle. She was unable to see it, and as a result she slipped and fell, severely injuring her back. Store surveillance video showed a small girl playing in the water a full 45 minutes before our client’s fall, as well as numerous Walmart employees walking by the spilled water and not cleaning it up.
At trial, Walmart attempted to argue that the spill had occurred just minutes before Mrs. Ng’s fall. Mrs. Ng had to undergo numerous injections, attempts at burning the nerves in her spine to stop the pain, and eventually a low back fusion surgery.
The awarded Mrs. Ng a favorable verdict: $365,672 for past medical damages and $135,000 for futures damages, a total of $500,672.

Tow Truck Driver Killed by Semi-Truck
For the family of life-long tow truck driver “K.T.”, a nightmare that was once unfathomable became a reality in an instant.
Growing up, K.T.’s father had been a tow truck driver, and as a kid, he dreamed of being just like dad – spending his days helping stranded motorists get back on the road.
Tragically, in the early morning hours of June 18th, 2014, K.T. was killed after being struck by a passing tractor-trailer while he was helping a motorist in need who had broken down on a stretch of I-95, in St. Augustine, Florida.
At the time of the collision, K.T. had his tow truck pulled to the side of the southbound lane, just in front of the customer’s disabled vehicle, with his emergency signals and “antler” lights on and flashing.
Immediately following the collision, the driver of the tractor-trailer can be overheard on the 911 call saying, “I didn’t even seen him [K.T.] standing there!” The driver failed to follow Florida’s “Move Over” Law, which requires drivers to change lanes to the left when approaching an emergency vehicle with its lights on.
K.T. left behind a beloved wife and three young sons. The family hired our law firm the day after the accident, and immediately, Mr. Goldenfarb immersed himself in the matter. A $6.5 million settlement with the trucking company’s insurers was reached after Mr. Goldenfarb hired an expert to reconstruct how the accident occurred. The settlement included guaranteed funds for each of the three boys to pay for their educations.
We recognize that no amount of money could replace K.T. However, hopefully, the recovery will give this family the peace of mind they need to try to move on.

If you or a loved one have been injured due to someone else’s negligence, you might be entitled to monetary compensation. Here are a few examples of the most common types of damages you can receive:
Medical Expenses
One of the most common types of compensation sought in personal injury cases is reimbursement for medical expenses related to the accident. This can include things like ambulance fees, hospital stays, surgery costs, and physical therapy. In many cases, future medical expenses may also be covered.
Lost Wages
If you’ve had to miss work due to your injuries, you may be able to recover lost wages as part of your personal injury settlement. This can include both wages you have already lost as well as future wages you will lose due to an inability to work. In some cases, lost earning potential may also be awarded.
Pain and Suffering
Many personal injury victims also seek compensation for pain and suffering caused by the accident or injury.
Punitive Damages
Punitive damages are intended to punish the liable party for their negligence and deter others from engaging in similar behavior. These damages are not always available, but may be an option if the liable party’s actions were particularly egregious.
