Help & Support for Surviving Families
Updated on July 14th, 2021
In the weeks following this terrible tragedy, we know it’s important to get out as much information, resources, and help for surviving families. Providing emotional and financial support to you is crucial as the initial shock of the condo collapse wears off, and the new reality of life without your loved ones sets in. Let’s get you started.
Physical Supply Donation
Skylake Synagogue is spearheading a physical donation drive for clothes, supplies, toiletries, and more. Many supplies are needed for families who have lost everything to the collapse and have been displaced from their homes. Our firm has collected and donated several boxes of supplies, including more than $500 worth of cell phones with prepaid plans for families in need. You can drop off donation at our office or at the Synagogue directly.
Why Hiring A Law Firm Is Important
Your rights to compensation may be at risk if you don’t act quickly. While the ground recovery efforts will continue through the remainder of 2021, investigations into what caused the condo to collapse are not likely to conclude anytime soon. In fact, it could be months or even years before experts are able to complete their forensic and engineering examinations and agree on a particular cause or set of causes that ultimately resulted in the structural failure of the building, killing as many as 100 residents.
A Law Firm with Experience in Mass Tragedies
While we recognize the tremendous loss and sadness that each and every one of our clients feel, and we certainly don’t wish for these kinds of mass casualty tragedies like the Champlain Towers South condo collapse to occur, we are proud to represent the surviving families of loved ones who have perished in horrible, public incidents, accidents, and mishaps.
-Craig Goldenfarb interviewed on CBS12
It is because of this experience that our law firm and our head litigators are regularly sought by the media to add the legal and civil context and try to answer the basic questions: What happened, who might be at fault, and what might happen next for families?
On June 29th, 2021, Craig Goldenfarb was interviewed live on CBS for a long-form discussion on what Florida law says about condo disclosures, and what condo unit owners can do today to find out whether their building is structurally safe to inhabit.
Our law firm represents surviving family members of victims of massive tragedies. If you or a loved one was killed or injured in the Surfside condo collapse, please do not hesitate to contact us right now.
Your ability to fight for justice for your loved ones and secure financial accountability for the loss of life and property may depend on whether you take action by hiring a law firm today.
You may have a legal right to compensation under Florida law for the loss of life you have suffered, whether that be the loss of a parent(s) or child(s). But you must act to protect your financial interests. This is a fluid situation in which many factors may affect, diminish, or erode your legal rights, which include but are not limited to state or government officials, insurance companies, or court-appointed officials who may seek to settle any and all civil legal claims for pennies on the dollar. The loss of your loved one cannot be measured in dollars. Our firm understands that. That’s what we are thorough and vigorous in our representation of our Wrongful Death clients.
